The General Body Meeting for the 56th year of MMSSS was held on 19.06.2024 by 11.00am in the central office of MMSSS in the presence of Most. Rev. Antony Pappusamy, the president of the society. The Vice president of the society, Rev. Fr. Jerome Eronimus, Rev. Fr. Alvares Sebastian, the procurator along with the members of the General body participated in the meeting. The meeting was started with a Prayer by Fr. Stalin and Rev. Fr. G. Gabriel the Secretary and the Treasurer of the society honored the president with a shawl. The newly inducted GB member Rev. Fr. Paul Britto, the Director & Coordinator of Nobili Pastoral Center was honored and welcomed to the board. Rev. Fr. Benedict Barnabas, the member of the general body, who as transferred as a secretary to Tamilnadu Bishops Council’s Dialogue for Interreligious commission was likewise honored by the board members. The proceeding of the interim general body meeting held during the month of October 2023 was submitted by the secretary & treasurer of the society.
Fr. Rajan, the Assistant Secretary presented a brief report of the special activities carried out during the last year. The renovation of the regional office at Arul Nagar, Construction of the New School Building at panakudi, the solar system installed at MMSSS Central office, which has considerably reduced the electricity charges. The Society’s Auditor Mr. Arokiasamy submitted the Audit report for the financial year 2023 – 2024.
Followed by this it was discussed and planned for the near future of the society and confirmed the date for the next interim General body meeting on the 16th day of October 2024. The president of the society shared his happiness about the activities implemented and the meeting was concluded with the vote of thanks by Fr. Rajan.
