On 09.03.2024 Aruppukottai Region celebrated the Women’s Day starting with a Rally by 11.00am from MMSSS Regional Office and reached the Venue at St Joseph’s Matriculation School. Around 500 SHG Members from different neighborhoods participated in the Rally invoking several Awareness Slogans for Women’s progress. Fr. Rajan, the Assistant Secretary facilitated the whole program and Ms. Porutselvi the Regional Coordinator Welcomed the Special Invitees and the SHG Members and honored them with Special Shawls and Crowns. Vidiyal – Art and Cultural Group performed an exceptional awareness program promoting the Empowerments of Women. Rev. Fr. Gabriel, the Secretary & Treasurer gave a brief enlightenment on the purpose of celebrating the Women’s Day and its significances. Followed by this Ms. Ganga, Chairperson of CWC-Virudhunagar, Ms. Booma, Sub Inspector of All Women’s Police Station-Aruppukotttai, Ms. Kavithakumari EDP Trainer and Ms. Iyerkaiammal, a Research Scholar shared their knowledge and experiences on the problems faced by Women, Women Empowerment / Development, EDP Opportunities and Parenting. The oath was taken by all the members. The program came to an end with the vote of thanks by Ms. Gnanam.
