The deadly spread of covid-19 and its variants had eroded the well-being of the entire world. Educational, Economic, social activities were paralyzed to the core.
This treacherous pandemic has mercilessly swallowed up the lives and livelihoods. People were suffocated without having time to breath in between the waves of the virus.
The poor and the Oppressed were the prime victims of this pandemic.
An appropriately equipped empowered and protected social service workforce was essential to mitigate the devastating effects of the covid-19 pandemic.
MMSSS, an organization which always stands with the people on the edge to attain social equality, sprang up to identify itself with the needy at this hour of turmoil.
The impact of the pandemic was overshadowing all the humanitarian efforts of MMSSS and rehabilitation of the affected people became the biggest challenge.
When MMSSS was desperately searching for helping organizations, the Archdiocese of köln came forward to support our initiatives with the financial assistance. The Charity showered by the Archdiocese of köln in Germany was carefully channelized by MMSSS and it ensured the proper and utility usage of the support given.M/p>
The beneficiaries were scrutinized sincerely and they were provided with a package with the following provisions as immediate relief material (Rice 10kg, Moong dal 1kg, Channa 1kg, Door dal 1kg, Pappad 1pckt, Rava 1/2kg, Wheat flour 1kg, Tea powder 100gm.)
Beneficiaries:
- Sanitary workers from ward nos: 19, 20, 21 and 22 are more than 1000 of them from 250 families.
- Nomadic tribes from Sathyamoorthy Nagar – 100 families.
- Narikuravars(Gypsies), boom boom mattukarars(Bull nodding masters),
snake charmers, and fortune tellers etc. all from Sakkimangalam – 150 families.
- 40 Staff members at Madurai Multipurpose Social Service Society.
- 55 workers at Archbishop’s House in Madurai.
- The efficient women self help groups were identified and selected from the regions of Theni, Uthamapalayam, Kodaikanal, Batlagundu and Aruppukottai 900 families benefited.
- 20 Transgender from Ulaganeri, Madichiyam ana B.B.kulam.

மதுரை பலநோக்கு சமூக சேவா சங்கம்(MMSSS) ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோருடன் ஒன்றிணைந்து சமூக சமத்துவம் காணும் தனது பணியில் இந்த மாபெரும் சவாலை முறியடிக்க தன்
சேவைகளை முன்னெடுத்தது. மிகவும் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட விளிம்புநிலை மக்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை மீட்டெடுக்க முனைப்புடன் களமிறங்கியது. உணவுப்பொருட்கள் தான் உடனடியான தேவை என உணர்ந்த போது இதற்கு உதவி செய்யக்கூடிய நல்ல இதயங்களையும் நிறுவனங்களையும் தேடியது.
ஜெர்மன் நாட்டின் கோலோன் உயர்மறைமாவட்டம் இந்த உயரிய பணியில் தன்னை பங்குதாரராக இணைத்துக் கொண்டு நிதி உதவியை தாராளமாக வழங்கியது. மக்களுக்கு உடனடி தேவையான அரிசி 10கி, துவரம் பருப்பு 1கி, சுண்டல் 1கி, பாசிப் பருப்பு 1கி, அப்பளம் 1பாக்கெட், ரவா 1/2கி, கோதுமை மாவு 1கி, டீத்தூள் 100 கிராம் ஆகியவை அடங்கிய தொகுப்புகளை தேவைகளின் முன்னுரிமையை நன்கு அறிந்து ஆராய்ந்து அதன்படி கீழ்க்கண்ட மக்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.
