Day of Social Justice

Day of Social Justice was celebrated on 22nd September 2022 at 11.30 am at Manos House in Theni District. 41 SHG members took part in the function. Mrs. Esther Rani, RCO gave the welcome address. Mrs. Eswari and Mrs. Geetha sang an awareness song. Mr. Justin, CCO shared some points on the great personality of Periyar. A folk dance was performed by the members of Theni Credit Union for Women Daily Wagers. This song highlighted the theme of liberation. Rev. Fr. Stalin, Asst. Secretary explained the meaning of social justice. Mr. Eliyasraja, DCO briefed the struggle for social justice in the history of Tamilnadu with relevant data. Rev. Fr. Rajan, Asst. Secretary spoke about the intimate relationship between Tamil Ethics and Social Justice. Participants were asked to express what they learned from this day. Gifts were presented to those who performed Folk dance in order to encourage them. The function came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Eswari.
