Under the individual income generating activities by rearing Milch animal, goat and small business towards the livelihood support of the individuals Madurai Multipurpose social service society distributed a financial assistance on 24.06.2024 at Central office in the presence of the president of the society Most. Rev. Antony Pappusamy. Around 200 beneficiaries were scrutinized and selected from the group members from the districts of Theni, Dindigal and Virudhunagar. The program was started with a prayer by Fr. Stalin and Rev. Fr. G. Gabriel, the Secretary & Treasurer of the society welcomed the gatherings and explained about the purpose of the scheme and Rev. Fr. Paul Britto greeted the beneficiaries selected for this support.
The President of the Society distributed an amount of Rs.30000/- (thirty thousand) for 50 beneficiaries for purchasing a milch animals Cow or Buffalo, Rs. 15000/- (fifteen thousand) for 75 beneficiaries for purchasing of Goat and Rs. 15000/- (fifteen thousand) for 75 beneficiaries to start small business. All together a total amount of Rs. 37, 50,000 was distributed for the said purpose though cheque in the names of the beneficiaries. Followed by this president delivered his presidential address and released the book of “Samuga Vizhigal” with the introduction by Ms. Thavamani. The first copy of the book was received by Rev. Fr. Alvares Sebastian the procurator. A warm farewell was given to Fr. Stalin who had served as an Assistant Secretary with MMSSS and now transferred as a parish priest to Usilampatti Parish. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks by Fr. Rajan the Assistant Secretary of MMSSS.
