Post-Covid Poverty Reduction through Income-generation Programme Report
Introduction
This is the report about the activities of Madurai Multipurpose Social Service Society to complete the first phase activities of the Charis. We have selected identified the right beneficiaries from Theni district and Virudhunagar district, which comes under our MMSSS target area. We have arranged the cheque issuing function on 5th November 2022.
Objectives
Post-Covid poverty Reduction through pro-active, Income-generation of Rural Women
Activities carried out
The beneficiaries were called for a personal interview and gathered the information about their family background and the business which they are proposed to carry out.
The beneficiaries were asked to write a request letter, and asked them to write their personal data’s in the application form.
The beneficiaries those who have come to receive the cheque, must submitted the following copies of the documents in the regional office – Aadhar card and Details of the Bank Account.
The team members of the account section have checked the above details of the beneficiaries
The beneficiaries those who have come to receive the cheque were treated with Tea and biscuits to refresh themselves.
Cheque Issuning function to the beneficiaries has started in the meeting hall of MMSSS. After the function the lunch were provided for the beneficiaries, with that function has come to an end.
Report of the program
With the support of Charis-Singapore, Madurai multipurpose Social Service Society has arranged the programme to issue the cheque payment for the beneficiaries those who are going to carry out the small business. This programme has held in Madurai Multipurpose Social Service Society Meeting Hall. Our Regional coordinators have brought the people on time. It has begun with devotional song with prayer. Rev.Fr. Gaberial the secretary and Treasurer of the Madurai multipurpose Social Service Society welcomed the chief quests and beneficiaries. In his welcome address he has narrated the main purpose of the Project. Mr.John Arockiaraj, Co-Ordinator of Caritas and he is the one who initiated and inspired the project has participated, issued the cheque to the beneficiaries and explained about the purpose of the project and self-sustainability. Two of them from the beneficiaries have thanked the whole event and organizers.
Conclusion
The first phase level we have identified the right persons those who are going to carry out the small business and issued the cheque by your fabulous help. Through this kind of service we have created the awareness about micro finance and make the people to overcome from their hopeless life.
